Tree Climber
Woolf Tree service is hiring for the 2023 season. We provide clear and concise expectations for employees, with benefits that include: 40 hours of paid vacation, IRA contributions with employer matching, four 10 hour days, paid holidays. We prioritize our work flow using the three Cs (Crew, Customers, Company). We will take care of our crew. This leads our crew to take care of our customers, and the customers will take care of the company. There is occasional overtime; however, we believe we are supposed to work to support our families, and employees can’t support their families if they are at work 60-70 hours per week. Compensation for an experienced climber is $28-30.
The more positive the attitude the better the options for increased compensation.
The ideal candidates are:
1) Task accomplishment focused. This means the jobs are done timely, efficiently, and with the best possible results for the customer.
2) Have a positive attitude. Just because its work doesn’t mean it needs to be someplace people don’t want to be. We want our new employees to enjoy coming to work, and not dreading the alarm clock.
3) Team focused. If you are the best person at your skill, but can’t help complaining about the day ahead, please do not apply. We have a solid crew, and are looking to augment, we are not looking for people who won’t help everyone move forward.
4) Willing to learn. We operate on a set of standards, that will be taught to all new hires. This includes what job sites should look like, required protective equipment, proper pruning techniques, customer interactions, and personal appearance.
5) Physically able to work. Although we have equipment to do most of the heavy lifting, the job will still require physical engagement.
We are willing to train on the job for certain positions; however, any climber applying should provide references to support climbing experience. Our climber trainee positions are currently all filled.
Experience operating the following is not required but beneficial to increase compensation.
All crew members:
1) Mini skid loaders
2) Stump grinders
